⭐ Reliable Self-Cure Performance
Sets through an acid–base reaction with optional light activation, supporting dependable cementation even in areas with limited light transmission.
⭐ Workflow-Friendly Handling
Simplified cementation without complex adhesive steps, helping reduce technique sensitivity and chairside time.
⭐ Versatile Indirect Indications
Suitable for cementation of metal, PFM, zirconia, and gold restorations, including inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, and posts.
⭐ Easy Excess Removal
Tack-cure or gel-phase cleanup allows efficient removal of excess cement with minimal finishing.

EsCem® RMGI is a resin-modified glass ionomer luting cement formulated for predictable, everyday cementation of indirect restorations. By combining the chemical adhesion and fluoride release characteristics of traditional glass ionomers with the improved handling properties of resin-modified systems, EsCem® RMGI supports consistent clinical outcomes with reduced technique sensitivity.

Its self-curing mechanism, with optional light activation, makes it well suited for restorations where light penetration may be limited, including metal, PFM, gold, and zirconia-based prosthetics. The material’s controlled viscosity supports stable seating, while tack-cure cleanup helps streamline excess removal and finishing.

Designed for clinical efficiency and consistency, EsCem® RMGI is a practical choice for routine cementation procedures where reliable handling and workflow simplicity are priorities.

Clinical Demonstration & Handling Overview

The following clinical video demonstrates the handling characteristics and workflow behavior of EsCem® RMGI during indirect cementation procedures. As a resin-modified glass ionomer (RMGI) cement, it is indicated for the permanent cementation of zirconia, PFM, metal, and gold-based restorations.

  • Moisture Tolerance: RMGI chemistry supports reliable performance in cases where complete isolation may be challenging, particularly in subgingival margins.
  • Tack-Cure Gel Phase Cleanup: A brief 2–3 second light activation transitions the cement into a gel phase, allowing for controlled, one-piece excess removal prior to final set.
  • Fluoride Release Profile: Combines conventional glass ionomer fluoride release characteristics with resin reinforcement for improved physical properties.
  • Low Sensitivity Profile: The formulation is designed to support patient comfort in routine indirect restorative cases.

For clinicians evaluating alternatives to other RMGI cements such as FujiCEM® 2 or RelyX™ Luting Plus, material handling, cleanup efficiency, and workflow simplicity are often key considerations when selecting a luting cement.

For cases requiring adhesive resin cementation, consider integration with K-Bond Universal where protocol indicates.
