Cytoflex® Textured Tefguard® is a non-resorbable barrier membrane manufactured from proprietary microporous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE).
It is designed for guided tissue regeneration procedures including socket preservation and bone grafting applications.
Both surfaces feature a microporous texture, while the textured version adds a visible macro-texture designed to provide greater flap and soft-tissue attachment. The microporous structure is designed to permit nutrient diffusion across the membrane while resisting penetration of fibroblasts and bacteria.
The membrane is supple enough to adapt to tissue contours while maintaining sufficient rigidity over the bone defect. As a non-resorbable membrane, it is designed for subsequent clinical retrieval after the intended regenerative period.
